This biannual event is held at the Irish Buffalo Creek Basin in the Gibson Village neighborhood in May and September each year. CWA partners with the
Concord Lion’s Club, the Concord Youth Council, and the Gibson Village Neighborhood Association to maintain this stream which runs by the City of Concord Village Greenway.
Adopt-A-Stream volunteers have fun exploring local streams and feel great knowing they are helping the environment. It can be a great opportunity to teach environmental stewardship to children.
We meet at 9 am outside of the Clearwater Artist Studio located at 223 Crowell Dr NW, Concord, NC
Because this is a long term commitment, volunteers are always needed to help clean up the stream and surrounding area. Bring your water-proof boots or use the ones provided by the City of Concord. Trash pickers, vests and bags provided.
